my story & approach

I came to filmmaking through a love of movies, but also through a fascination with memory: how a smile, a room, a landscape, or a shadow can carry more feeling than words ever could.

Before starting Brandon Sieve Films, I spent more than a decade working in film and television production in Los Angeles, inside the rhythm of major studios, production companies, sets, scripts, schedules, and the hundreds of decisions that shape what finally makes it to screen. That time taught me how to stay calm under pressure, how to listen closely, and how much care it takes to make something feel effortless.

Now based in the Bay Area, I create wedding films, real estate films, brand stories, music videos, live event films, social content, and personal projects with the same instinct behind each one: find the feeling, follow the light, and let the authentic moments lead.

Filmmaking is not something I only do for work. It’s how I move through my own life, too. I film my family, my travels, and the fleeting moments that I don’t want to lose. So when someone hires me, they’re not just hiring a videographer. They’re hiring someone who already sees the world this way.

My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and unobtrusive. I come prepared, but I leave space for life to happen. The glance before a vow. The way a room feels before anyone walks in. The energy of a performance. The small details that communicate the emotion of a time and place.

Intimate or expansive, personal or commercial, I’m always looking for the same thing: something authentic, cinematic, and worth returning to.
